Total bathroom refurbishment

Wakefield

I posted my first job on My Builder in June 2018. It was for a Full Bathroom refurbishment and I had previously tried phoning various plumbers. I had no luck as I found most of them were busy or didn’t seem interested or able to visualise my elaborate bathroom design. I had designed it myself and it was quite unusual for a two bedroomed terrace house. It was also a lot of work for such a small room.
Thanks to My Builder I was contacted by Sam Spencer from Niche Emporium. He was very professional and broke down every job with a price to help us come to an agreement on the cost and the job I wanted him to do.
Sam started my bathroom on the date we’d agreed and I was able to trust him 100% with a key to my home. A lot of the time I was at work while he was working on my bathroom and he regularly kept me up to date with what was happening in my home and sent me pictures of his progress.
While working on my bathroom Sam uncovered a joist that wasn’t supported properly from when I had my chimney breast removed a few years ago. This could have been fatal and I soon realised you get what you pay for.
Sam quickly priced up how much extra this would cost me so I wouldn’t get a nasty surprise at the end of the job. He took pictures of under the floor before he covered it up so I could see what he’d done and so I knew that it was safe.
Work continued and it wasn’t long before we hit another stumbling block. This time it was my fault. I’d measured my bath before ordering it, made sure it would fit through my front door and up the stairs. Only thing I hadn’t planned for was the turning to get it up my stairs.
I was gutted and I really thought I’d have to rethink my plan for the bathroom. Thankfully this didn’t faze Sam one bit and he was adamant the bath going in one way or another as it was the main feature of my bathroom design. We soon devised a plan to take out my door frame in my living room and a layer of bricks down the side with little extra cost. I came home from work that day amazed that my Japanese soak tub had finally made it into my bathroom in one piece.
After all the drama the pace soon picked up and it wasn’t long before all my bathroom was finished. Sam deserves this award 100%, he really did go above and beyond for me. His work is pure perfection and he brought my design to life. He is also very punctual and lets you know even if he’s going to be 10 minutes late, this in my experience is a god send for a tradesman. He is such a nice person and so grateful to My Builder for helping me find such a nice and trustworthy guy.
I have since used Sam again for another job and I am always happy with his work.

I am her neighbour and to see her delight at his obvious professional job is priceless. He took alot of pride in his work, which shows in the finished product.
