We initially hired Alex builders to complete what we thought would be a light refurbishment- including overboarding a ceiling and removing a shower. Despite having a number of builders visit the property and give us a better sense of what was involved, it wasn’t until we started working that we ALL fully appreciated the amount of work needed to do our property up. Working with Alex, who was knowledgeable and full of ideas, not only made the process feel less daunting, was a pleasure from the start. His son, Angelos, and wife were often onsite making us feel part of an extended family. In the end, the works included removing a non-load bearing wall, extending a bathroom wall to give us enough room for the bath we wanted, to rebuilding mortal and dorb walls- no job was too big a task for Alex and his team. we carefully planned all of the work together early in the process, set a budget and a timeline that was realistic. And we couldn’t be happier with the end results!
And to top it all off, I was 8 months pregnant when the work was finished- giving us a month to rest in our beautiful home before the real work started...
