Replace rotten joist

Lee came out at short notice to quote for the job of repairing the floor in our sitting room that had dropped about 3 - 4inches in one corner of the room! He was punctual, friendly and polite and explained exactly what he would do to repair the supporting floor joists and provided a very reasonable quote.

On taking up what we thought was just rotten floorboards and joists, Lee discovered that we had a serious woodworm infestation. I was starting to panic as I could just feel the price of the job increasing with every passing minute! I only have very limited funds as I’m unable to work currently due to being unwell so was really worried that we had a major problem. Lee was really reassuring and explained our options clearly. Fortunately he was able to treat the woodworm himself and drove to the nearest DIY store (a fair distance from our house out in the sticks!) to get the treatment for us. He completed the woodworm treatment thoroughly and then he and his co-worker carried out the repair of the damaged joists and flooring to a very high standard. They cleared up every scrap of mess they had made, left us with the remaining woodworm treatment and only charged a few pounds more than the original quote despite all the extra work.
