Brick shed, replace ash floor and repair roof

We think it would be unfair to call Rob the normal Bob the builder. Better to describe Rob as a friendly local builder covering large and small scale projects.
We first discovered Rob thanks to the website and following first contact he was more than happy to provide us with contact details for past clients if we wanted further references.
He has always been polite, friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain his actions, designs and checked we were happy with his progress, keeping us abreast of developments throughout the process.
Over the last few months we have employed Rob on a variety of tasks, big or small, simple or complex and have been more than happy with the quality of his work and work ethics.
The largest of these tasks has been the construction of a block shed, to replace a wooden one that had been repeatedly broken into resulting in the loss of several hundred pounds of gardening equipment. His attention to detail went to ensuring the finish of the wooden doors he constructed was finished to quality above that other builders would see as being suitable.
Rob turns his hand not just to the big tasks like digging out our hall floor and laying a damp-proof course but small ones too, having worked on replacing roofing tiles following storm damage, plastering under our stairs and replacing the ceiling in the porch.
Having worked with other builders over the years, we don’t feel we are taken advantage of at any point by Rob. A measure of this is that we have trusted Rob with keys our home and gone away for a weekend, while he completed work, comfortable in the knowledge that Rob could be trusted.
He has left the site clean and tidy, something other builders haven’t done. An example of his attention and consideration came when we employed him to dig out our hall and lay a new floor. He took the time to cover our outside drains to ensure no material fell into them. Some might say this is common sense, but not always common practise.
Things don’t always go to plan and it is the mark of how good a workman Rob is that he will address the issue, whilst keeping you informed.
By the way, if you are a dog lover, chat to Rob about his rescue dog Bruno. An old Staffordshire bull terrier, who is one of the softest and friendliest dogs out there, a complete contrast to the image so often portrayed in the media.
We are more than happy to recommend Rob to others.
