Fitting lino in kitchen and bathroom

Saltburn By The Sea

It was just before Christmas and myself and my husband had bought some tiles to redo our kitchen and bathroom. We are both busy NHS workers and we work shifts including weekends; so finding time to arrange home improvements is difficult. However my husband had managed to get an unusual four days off in a row. He spent a day taking up our wood flooring and lino in the bathroom in preparation for the job. However disaster struck when we discovered that the floor in the kitchen was wooden underneath and not concrete. We were advised that the original job couldn't be completed :-( So not only were we left with no flooring down but it was also getting closer to Christmas. We really didn't want to be left with cold bear floors on Christmas day. Particularly because we both only had Christmas day off together before returning back to our hospital wards on boxing day. I posted a job asking if there was anyone out there who could help fit our flooring before Christmas not expecting a reply. I also thought that even if I got a reply I would have to find the time to buy the lino. Then unexpectedly I checked my phone during my lunch break to find a response from Ian Munro to let me know that not only could he sort out our bathroom and kitchen flooring before Christmas but he could also supply as well as fit the lino. Perfect! :-) We explained that we worked shifts so he went out of his way to visit us on an evening so we could choose the lino. He then ensured that he could come out on my husband's next day off to fit. He did it all in a day by hiring an extra person to assist and he did such an amazing job. The perfect pre Christmas gift was being able to come home knowing that everything looked clean, tidy and just magical once all of our decorations were up..all ready for Christmas day. Our Cavalier King Charles even approved and couldn't wait to walk on the new kitchen flooring. The fact that she's greedy and knows that is where her food is had nothing to do with it ha! :-)
