I live in Belgium and Nick is based in Hull in the UK, this is where my house that needed the repairs is. He was happy to liase with my tenant regarding access and then when he had looked went back outside to have the discussion with me as to what needed doing, and possible costs incurred without my tenant hearing this. He was happy to recommend remedial work as well as what really needed doing. He happily discussed that if I needed a printed warranty other than the guarantee he provided that he could recommend someone and what an approximate cost of that would be.
I opted in the end to have the damaged joists removed and new floorboards replaced over them, with a damproof course injecting before making everything good. The floor covering that was in situ was an old laminate that would be difficult to match so he suggested carpeting that half of the room and fitting a jointing strip. Once I gave him the go ahead he spoke to my tenant and arranged when would be a good time. It was arranged to be the next day and he completed the work in just two days!! My tenant was happy with the work and relaxed with Nick being in the house. I was happy with the speed he contacted me from placing the job, pricing the job and carrying it out for me. He was also happy for me to arrange a transfer of the funds from my account in Belgium that can take a little longer than an immediate payment. I will not hesitate to contact Nick if I need anything else doing in the house and have already recommended him to a friend who also rents a house in Hull but does not live in the town himself.
