Where do I start?! Ricky was the first to respond to my job posting - about 20 minutes after we spoke we'd arranged a time to meet at the property and discuss the work further. On the phone I found him honest and very helpful - I had a lot of questions as I'd not had work like this done before. He was patient and detailed in answering and was honest about needing to see the windows before giving me any figures, although he gave a ballpark based on the information he had.
When we met at my tenants' house, he actually arrived before me and was busy getting on with things when I arrived. He had the right tools with him to take a proper look at the extent of the rot, and left no stone unturned so he could be sure to be accurate for the quote. He spent quite some time with me which I I found reassuring and he was friendly and professional, and clearly knew what he was talking about.
Ricky's communication was great, he always replied to messages in good time. His quote was clear and professional, laying out all the costs and materials for each aspect of the job.
The job was done quicker than expected, but by no means rushed. Ricky gave me advice on making the right colour choices and type of paint, and again was patient as I made my decisions. As I was not able to be onsite when they were working, he sent me photos via Whatsapp so I could see how things were going and updated me on the finishing time without being prompted to do so.
When the work was finished he walked around with me to show me all aspects of the completed job - he had even done things that were not quoted for because he thought it would look it's best if done fully - ie the concrete surround to the windows and the front door were not just touched up but fully repainted and he even cleaned/repainted a filthy concrete ledge that ran between the ground and first floor. As a result the finish was fantastic.
