I think Alex should be considered for tradesperson if the year because of his skills, professionalism and courtesy. So often a key topic of conversation amongst people is the fact that trades people have let them down or under delivered. To my mind, Alex models the opposite. A craftsman who takes pride in his business and his trade and who works for the customer to deliver what they want.
From the very beginning he was responsive and professional. I was impressed with how he thought through the job, clearly using considerable experience. His price was competitive, his quotation thorough, professionally communicated and fixed. On the day he Had some real challenges to work around which had emerged when we ripped out our old kitchen and/or because other tradesmen are not as dependable as he is. He coped with those without drama, with politeness, pragmatism and a bit of humour, even giving up some additional time to ensure the job was completed properly.
MyBuilder seeks to build a better reputation for trades and crafts people and as a whole and to showcase what the best can do. Looking at reviews on Alex’ page, it is clear that he has carried out mich more complex jobs than he did for me, all with similarly outstanding reviews.
I think he is an excellent tradesman, deserves recognition and deserves to do well in his business.
Ps - I am also eternally grateful that, when at the height of kitchen refurbishment frenzy, I accidentally sent him text meant for my husband, he reacted with customary discretion and kindness!
