Job of the Year

Huge congratulations to Ellouise Hempstead and her MyBuilder tradesman Martin Robinson of MJO Limited, in Lincolnshire.

Ellouise nominated Martin for the expertise, dedication, energy and generosity he brought to her challenging renovation project.

“Martin has taken our dream and made it his own. He’s worked with us to understand what we need, what we want, and what we’d love (but don’t think we can afford) and he’s helped us to make those things a reality. He’s an honest and reliable builder, who cares about his customers, and wants their project to be a success.”

Welcome to MyBuilder

Bathroom refit / plumb new kitchen / etc

Wirral

In times when (reliable) Tradespeople are like gold dust the reason I originally left such a positive review on Jayson (Jay) was because of a few things:

The job on the face of it was two fold - to fit a new Bath/basin / separate toilet and add an additional toilet into the main space limited bathroom and also to move some plumbing from "old kitchen" to new kitchen under a combination of concrete and wood floors.

1) When he said he would come out to give a quote he came;
2) The price was fair (not the cheapest);
3) Jayson got the job because he came across as honest decent and trustworthy - he had clearly thought about the job and what it would mean to end users not what he could make out of it - he made suggested improvements which have proved to right.

He gave us a start date, that shifted slightly BUT he kept us up to date throughout. Once he started the job he proved to be all the things he had shown us when he first quoted - honest, decent and extremely reliable - the job was a bit of a mess - the old walls hid a multitude of sins both in structure and shape - Jay just got on with it - we had a few new ideas along the way - notably a UPVC ceiling with spot lights - "No problem" Jay even sourced the ceiling for us at a discounted price - It cost us more money following our changes but the original job price was as promised (even with the extra work caused by the walls!).

He's not too demanding on the tea front but during our chats he helped recommend other suppliers and other Tradespeople - notably a Plasterer who has re-plastered the whole house for us...and our next door but one neighbours too. My Builder is a great concept and recommendations count for everything.

Jayson is back doing some work for us as I type this (not his preferred work but something he knew meant a lot to us to complete the house and something he knew we had struggled with)... as a result of My Builders initial recommendation the following has been completed / started :

Our House - By Jay - Plumbing to Kitchen, which meant that Kitchen could be fitted and saved us £500 from Wren, Bathroom and extra Loo, new soil pipe, new ceiling, Tiling walls and floors.

Family and Friends - Referral to Brother - New Bathroom, Auntie for pluming repairs, Neighbour for building work.

As a result of meeting Jay - Plastering our whole house and plastering neighbours.

I don't write such glowing recommendations and the reason I have taken the time to write this is to thank him and also My Builder, who made the original connection. Theres not many people I would recommend that would get on with anyone for a fair price but I have no hesitation in recommending Jay and My Builder.

Thank you
