Job of the Year

Huge congratulations to Ellouise Hempstead and her MyBuilder tradesman Martin Robinson of MJO Limited, in Lincolnshire.

Ellouise nominated Martin for the expertise, dedication, energy and generosity he brought to her challenging renovation project.

“Martin has taken our dream and made it his own. He’s worked with us to understand what we need, what we want, and what we’d love (but don’t think we can afford) and he’s helped us to make those things a reality. He’s an honest and reliable builder, who cares about his customers, and wants their project to be a success.”

I used the myBuilder site to source three quotes last year for the complete re-tile of my shower room and installation of shower, toilet and furniture. Paul Barnett was not the cheapest of the three quotes but I was impressed initially with the time taken to really understand what we wanted. He listened and made positive recommendations around layout and approach. Paul was able to demonstrate pictures and references of his previous work that showed his passion and enthusiasm for getting a job done right.

During the actual installation – Paul really went the extra mile. He turned up promptly and worked late every day to get the job completed. I have never seen a contractor work so hard and so diligently. There were no tea breaks every 30 minutes, he was quite relentless ! The area was always left clean and tidy and ready for him to crack on the following day.

Paul also took the time to explain his approach and discuss progress and next steps throughout.

Paul was engaging and very easy to get on with and even the kids thought he was a great character, my son enjoyed leaving toy spiders in his tools for him to find which Paul found amusing.

Overall – a top quality job and a really nice individual to deal with. I will be using Paul again in the near future. I couldn’t recommend him enough.
