Thankfully after some poor initial internet serching for carpet fitting specialists in Edinburgh & a load of wasted time, I found the mybuilder website,,, Brillaint!! Not only was Matt a very pleasant & polite guy & started off his amazing job by turning up to first go through the quote process when he said he would, but furthermore saved us a lot of money with the skill that later became massivly aparant. We had a very difficult shaped & large living room to get recovered, it measured less than 1cm off 8m at the widest point & tapered in 4 different shallow angles from there to a 5 sided bay window. A nightmare shape from an engineering point of view! & from such with all previous (grossly inflated) quotes, I had been advised that 5m wide carpet would be the only safe way to do it joining up to 10m wide as opposed to 8m; as roll widths can vary, therefore not guarenteeing 2x4m wide actually being 8m. Matt managed to save us by very skillfully managing to get the 1cm he had to spare with only one join the full length of the carpet over the full 19m length. The rest of the carpet was all perfectly laid & he tidied away & hoovered leaving no traces. The saving by not using the 5m width was so much that would have gone in very expensive wastage; it ended up being HALF THE PRICE & A BETTER FINISHED JOB THAT I COULD HAVE WISHED FOR! He is both a credit to himself & your website. (& just for info, as I asked; how can you not use one 4m & one 5m wide roll ((9m wide)) is because they either dont make the same carpet in both widths or there will probably be a colour variation that would make the join look bad).
