Bob was an expert carpenter, with years of experience. He came to undertake the fit out of our kitchen, larder and utility. We found the units from Ikea and sourced the oak worktop and handles elsewhere. Retaining the old kitchen units for reuse in the larder and utility. Bob had no problem working with our bespoke mix and match kitchen. Despite facing several challenges including unlevelled floors and huge 3x2m oak island worktop, he had no problem undertaking these tasks with a clam and cheerful attitude.
Bob quoted 5 days to do the kitchen, utility and larder, which he completed on time and to budget.
He ended up coming back for further work after the kitchen was done. We asked him to build an oak cantilevered porch, bespoke wardrobe shelving in an eaves cupboard with wonky walls, storage in the ground and first floor cupboards, and cantilevered oak shelving in the kitchen(pictured) and WC.
Its only a shame that we met him close to the finish of the project, otherwise he would have been here much longer.
When you find a chippy, or any trade for that matter, who is: competent, honest, reliable, with a great work ethic; then those are the people you need to keep around you, as they remove the stigma and stresses that can often be associated when working with a builder or trade. He was a true pleasure to work with.
I have no hesitation to recommend Bob to family, friends and clients. I couldnt thank him enough, however a job of the year award may be a nice way to thank him for his efforts ;-).
