Win a grand for your garden - COMPETITION CLOSED

This competition is NOW CLOSED.

In 2013, we congratulated Jon Mason of Beaworthy in Devon, who won a grand for his garden after notching up 765 votes from the public. Jon beat over 200 other entrants to win the prize and was selected from a shortlist of 12 by the MyBuilder team.

The prize covered materials and a MyBuilder landscape gardener up to the value of £1,000.

We moved into our home last october and as you can see it badly needed a face lift! With a toddler and a baby on the way all we wanted was to rip up those dreadful old higgledy piggledy paving slabs and lay a nice lawn ready for the little ones to play on the following summer, flanked by pretty flowering plants and shrubs.

Well, summer is almost upon us and still no lawn. I had an emergency C section which knocked me sideways and a slow recovery meant no gardening for me! So the transformation hasn't taken place and despite hours, days and weeks of hard work by Daddy lifting slabs and breeze blocks (so heavy!), and digging out old bricks and heaps of broken Glass, our garden looks more like somewhere you'd meet 'Stig of the dump' rather than the enchanted garden we long for. Having persevered through setbacks, bad weather and a non existent budget, we'd just love a helping hand to finish the project!
