Win a grand for your garden 2013 - COMPETITION CLOSED

This competition is NOW CLOSED.

In 2013, we congratulated Jon Mason of Beaworthy in Devon, who won a grand for his garden after notching up 765 votes from the public. Jon beat over 200 other entrants to win the prize and was selected from a shortlist of 12 by the MyBuilder team.

The prize covered materials and a MyBuilder landscape gardener up to the value of £1,000.

As you can see, we've tried to start but never finished. That was 2 years ago! We now have an 18 month old who really wants to play outside, but we dread letting her out because of all the mess! The pavers we've put at the house end of the garden don't match the path that runs down it, which is broken and cracked. They don't drain properly either - when it rains really bad the house end floods! The other end has become a dumping ground - whenever we've made a start on trying to clear it all the rubbish and off cuts go down at the bottom - where there is a patio which we want to put decking over! We want to lay turf where the loose pavers are, and pave the right hand side so our daughter has somewhere to play on the grass and ride her bike when she's big enough! To be able to sit out this summer and have a bar-be-que would be great - however our cooker has just given up the ghost so funds have been diverted to that which would have been spent on the garden this year!
