North Walsham

After many years of saving, we managed to get onto the property market last year. Unfortunately all we could afford was a house that had been derelict for 20 years! YES 20 YEARS!

We decided to tackle the garden when we had some family visiting, and managed to get it from wild jungle to slightly better looking unkept mess in a day. We have since kept at it, burning and recycling garden waste every weekend, digging out about 40 tress and bushes by hand, we even found a large tree that had grown up through a big concrete plant pot without breaking it! Our last job has been digging out a 4m square hole to park our car and stop our neighbours moaning about parking out on the road! We intended to use the last of our savings last year to plant grass and landscape the garden, but our boiler broke and the roof started leaking. So the garden was put on hold, and our savings were diminished.

So now that we have done all this free digging and miserable work over the last year we are left with just mud and nothing else - and no money to sort it. We would love nothing more than to make our dream of having a summer BBQ out in our new green and colourful garden to thank our family for their help, and to be able to go outside in the garden without putting on wellies (you have no idea how many times I have hung the washing out and it has fallen down into the mud and had to be rewashed!)
