Win a grand for your garden - COMPETITION CLOSED

This competition is NOW CLOSED.

In 2013, we congratulated Jon Mason of Beaworthy in Devon, who won a grand for his garden after notching up 765 votes from the public. Jon beat over 200 other entrants to win the prize and was selected from a shortlist of 12 by the MyBuilder team.

The prize covered materials and a MyBuilder landscape gardener up to the value of £1,000.

My garden is a disaster area - a hotchpotch of started and adandoned projects, a dilapidated shed and a dark area caused by the overhanging branches from the Ash next door! The sloping site, copious bindweed and clay soil make planting difficult and any plants that do break through the soil are quickly finished off by the slugs and snails! I have a corner pergola and some decking tiles to go in some (forgotten) corner but we have lost all hope inspiration. We dream of raised beds in which to grow organic veg, a wildlife area (if only to attract toads and hedgehogs to eat the slimy pests!), an awesome sitting out area where we can entertain friends, lots of wonderful scented plants and a doggie play area. If we can turn our little piece of England into a sun-filled paradise we would only be too happy to be photographed in it!!
