I always used to say, my garden was the best room in my house! It was beautiful & very well kept & my little tranquil sanctuary. Then I became ill, & nature started to claim it back. Year after year it became worse, along with my health. I lost my lovely herb garden and beautiful flower beds & lush lawn. Then my neighbour decided to demolish a large section of my boundary wall. I was far too poorly to have legal wranglings with him, and the foliage in front just grew year after year, so I didn't have to look at the utter devastation he caused. Cats, dogs, kids and even garden creepers love that they can just walk in & do what they do unhindered. I'm a single parent with a young son, & no one to help me with this. With my health as it is, I would love nothing more than a very low maintenance garden where we can sit and be peaceful. I look out of my window and my heart sinks, especially when I remember how beautiful it once was.
