We have a moorland walled garden ,with three different levels .As we have an abundance of stone (we live by a stone quarry ) twenty years ago we built restraining walls at each level. Nice to perch on for weeding and giving better drainage.
A heart attack five years ago put paid to my hard work ,and three bad winters have meant deep snow and moles have damaged my little dry stone walls . I have two dogs (who have a seperate excercise area ) but are allowed into 'our' area with us . A large pool is our water feature , though the liner desperately needs replacing .
