My nephew was diagnosed with chronic heart disease at 7weeks old. The first time his heart stopped when he was only a few months old broke us all. He's had 3 open heart surgerys so far which were in the space of a few months apart because he got so poorly and caught infections he spent alot of time on life support and we were told those heartbreaking words so many times that He might not make it. He now has a mechanical valve and with that he'll be on blood thinners for the rest of his life amongst other medications. He's currently in Leeds hospital now awaiting his 4th op at the age of 21months which is breaking our hearts as he's not clueless anymore with him being mobile he's going to feel the pain more than ever this time round. He's an amazing little boy that's always got a smile on his face despite what he's been through. He's come along way since coming home last year. He mastered crawling & walking even though he was laid in a hospital bed for 6month which ment he had no muscle strength and late development but he give it his all to build himself up with the help of physio. He loves being out doors and playing with his toys but with the medication he's on & how a knock to the head could be life threatening or anywhere where else on his body as he can bleed under the skin its difficult to let him explore as he's very clumsy. Having a garden makeover would mean the world to his mummy & him. He'd be able to be a proper little boy and have the dream garden he deserves to keep him safe whilst playing and having fun. He really is a true warrior that's fought so hard to stay alive no matter how tough it got he kept fighting even when his body was giving up. He's my favourite superhero and I'm honered to be his aunty. No amount of open heart surgerys will ever fix his broken little heart. Thank u for reading my story
