My youngest daughter Talia, who will be 3 in June, has a rare life limiting condition called Dravet Syndrome & severe Ataxia, she has a gene mutation and has hundreds of seizures every single day, mobility issues, sensory processing disorder, is photosensitive, she can't regulate her own body temperature, or go in water, she is non verbal, hypermobile and is having a stomach peg fitted later this month. Talia has 14 seizure types and both sunlight & artificial lights are triggers along with being tired, hungry, stressed, excited or just doing nothing. We have exhausted all treatment options and recently excluded from the newest, most promising medicine trial due to heart tests showing a small leak in her mitral valve. We have been in some pretty horrific situations and she still comes out smiling, she absolutely loves being outdoors but impossible for her to be, she needs a garden that is flat and safe, with shaded areas. Me and her dad have tried making her an area but we just dont have the large amount of funds for her needs so she is mainly housebound :( a garden would literally change her life for the better ! We have two other children that are also housebound alot due to me staying indoors with talia. I cannot explain how beneficial this would be !
