Kim Mackay

Edinburgh

Hello,

My new husband, David, and I bought our house when we were recently engaged. At the time we spent every penny of our savings to purchase our lovely house with a garden, which is our pride and joy. Despite being very overgrown (the house had been lying empty for a few years) it is our little sunny paradise (when the sun shines in Scotland that is!) that we love spending time together and with family and friends in. When we first purchased the house (4 years ago now) I didn’t know the difference between a hydrangea and a petunia! However after recently becoming a plus member at Dobbie’s I have become very fond of planting pots etc and doing all that I can to make our garden that little bit prettier! My husband even said to my mother in law last week (after I’d been in and out of Dobbie’s buying new summer plants for the garden atleast 5 times that week!) when she asked where I was, “Mum, she’s either at Dobbie’s, on her way to Dobbie’s or on her way home from Dobbie’s!”

Whenever I can find some time between work and family life I love to spend it either at Dobbie’s (having lunch, coffee and a cake and purchasing new bits and bobs for the garden) or in the garden relaxing and doing some work to it. Slowly over the past 4 years we have worked to make it that little bit better but we desperately need some help to add a little magic and to turn our house into a home!

I’m so delighted to have found a new hobby in gardening. However we are still a young couple and need to save up to finally complete our beautiful summer oasis. We would love to put down new turf, add some new plants to parts of the border and finally create a little area where we can relax. A garden makeover would be a dream come true!

Thank you. We really hope to hear from you! 🤞🌺🌳🏡🌸🌿

Kind regards,
