Because our back garden isn’t suitable for my husband who has been a capable long time amputee above the knee(71years) he is now finding life and getting around the garden. We have inherited our garden, we bought our bungalow 18months ago, and have been updating the interior for the last 12months. We our now out of funds o do the garden and it’s become a hazard. I have always done the garden and love working out there. I have been trying to get this garden under control, but the previous owners built small walls everywhere and the mortar has gone, hence it’s uneven. The soil is clay and I have looked up that Japanese acers and roses do well. My idea is to make it a Japan themed garden, no grass, but lots of green plants to attract birds. I have planted 4 fruit trees which have taken well. I cannot however sort the brickwork and paths without help, and no funds.

I love my garden too but despair about the state of it, every year I chip away at it, totally appreciate the hard work needed and the rewards to be had. You deserve a wonderful garden
