Leonie Beavers

Southport

My husband , John, was diagnosed with terminal cancer last July. He had been very poorly before then as well.
We were very grateful to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in February.
He died on the 20 April.
As if that wasn’t bad enough I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of last year. I am lucky it was caught very early and my treatment has been completed successfully.

The garden has been neglected for some time, as neither of us had the heart or will to focus on it.

Now that I am entering a new chapter of my life, on my own, I would love to see my garden transformed. It would lift my spirits and it would mark the end of 40 happy years and the start of the next stage of my life.

I would like the new garden to be dedicated to John. I could spend my days in it and think of him and our life together with great love.
