My garden needs a makeover because we have been given notice to vacate the adjacent land that we rent. Currently we use the rented land like an allotment for vegetables, soft fruit and orchard.
As we spend so much time out in the field our domestic garden has been neglected, or put another way, we have left it as a nature reserve! We now need to re structure our gardens, replace some of the neglected ornamental bushes with our food producing allotment bushes. We are both aged 70 years now and although reasonably fit, all this tree transplanting is a bit heavy. We also have a lovely greenhouse to resite, and sheds move or dispose of. We have been given a years notice, so need to complete the work by next April. Obviously a lot of vegetable plants have just gone out , or are about to go out into the beds. But we plan a massive move of bushes and trees from this coming autumn.
The prize would mean we could do a lot of planning with the team but not as much of the physical effort. We would like to continue growing our own food as long as we are able but realise that we have to down size somewhat so would welcome advice from experts.
