I started gardening 8 years ago - thanks to a friend - following a medical diagnosis, which had my GP tell me to find some pleasure in life. Before long, I was hooked, and my gardens were lovely, in spite of the fact I was clueless. Over the past few years though, I've been able to do less and less. I still buy loads of plants, as my ambition has boundless drive, but most go to the great garden in the sky, as it's generally impossible for me to do the physical work required, to make space for them. I do, however, have some beauties that need to be better situated, in order to continue thriving. Mortified by how neglected my garden's become! My aim has always been to create a haven for pollinators and visiting wildlife - I have several hedgehogs that I feed every night, and would love somewhere tranquil to sit and take it all in. I have the plans drawn out, just have neither the strength nor energy to see them through. Winning this would mean everything to me. Plants are my passion, and the little bits I can do myself, is better than any medicine.
