Dorothy McKay

Bathgate

We have a rather large garden but only a few areas are cultivated. My parents lived in our cottage & were keen gardeners but sadly when they passed away the gardening was solely down to me with my husband cutting the grass using his wee sit-on tractor. 8 years ago, while on holiday in Spain, my husband became seriously ill & ended up having his gallbladder removed. Our garden began to suffer as 3 years later I had major surgery on my right shoulder which put me out of action for almost a year which meant all the wee cultivated areas became untidy. Then 2 years in May my husband has a major hernia operation & just as he was recovering it was discovered he had serious heart problems so in the October he had a triple heart bypass & a replacement aortic valve. My husband still cuts the grass using his sit-on but can’t manage other jobs. We cannot begin to tell you how much a partial garden makeover would be appreciated.
