We have a ‘Community’ garden which sadly has become overgrown over years of neglect. In its hay day, it was used by both the aged and young alike for quite reflection and play. We are trying to make our church a ‘one stop shop’ for weddings and christenings allowing our congregation to use the church hall for low cost receptions, a garden for those all important photographs would be the icing on the cake.
Living in a deprived area with a high immigrant population does take its toll. Our garden being totally fenced is both safe and secure for all our community.
It may sound like a cliché but we really have spent all our money on repairs to the church roof, the garden once again on the back burner. We just need that shot in the arm to revive our little plot that will be cherished by so many.
