We would LOVE a garden makeover....My little son Kori (aged 6) has been in the end stages of heart failure since birth, with a condition calld Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
He was put onto the transplant list in February this year, expecting to have to wait at least 2 years to receive a heart.
Amazingly, just TWO weeks later, the call came in that a heart had been found!!
On March 10th 2018, my little boy was rushed to Newcastle Freeman hospital and recieved the life saving heart he so desperately needed.
Whilst in hospital, my partner had to move house as we had experienced an awful flood in the house we own, last year (whilst I was in hospital with our newborn daughter), forcing us to live in a rental house for 6 months...we were due to move back into our own home just 2 days after the call came in to take Kori to hospital.
Kori was really upset as he missed our house and was SO excited about playing in his own room and on his trampoline again.
Sadly....because we have had to leave our house for months and now live in hospital full time, our garden has gone to ruin, we have had to give away all of beloved pet chickens, Koris raised flowerbeds are all full of weeds and we just dont have the time or money to get it re-done for him.
Kori has been in rejection twice so far with his new heart, but we can be home soon if all goes well, and it would mean SO SO much to have somewhere beautiful for him to play with his big sister and new baby sister, be able to help us grow veg again and just spend his first summer (with health and energy) in a secure and beautiful setting.
It would mean SO much to us as a family after being forced to live apart, in one room (at parent acommodation in hospital) and Kori has been in isolation in one room for nearly 2 months now).
ANY help, would be incredible. <3
