Win a Grand for your Garden

Huge congratulations to Megan Rees from Oxford who entered the competition hoping to change the life of her three year old daughter Ariella.

Ariella has severe disabilities, she was given a 10% chance of survival at birth and has beaten the odds. Her parents have had to give up work to provide round the clock care for her as her needs are so complex.

Ariella currently has nowhere safe to play outside and can’t even go to the park as it is too risky for her.

We are very excited to begin the transformation and give Ariella beautiful garden to play in. Watch this space!

If I won the garden makeover it would make such a massive difference to my family and friends, but most of all to me.
This is because my garden is so much in need of TLC. Once my dream is realised we would invite our extended family and frends to this oasis. We could have barbecues and family gatherings, something we can't do now but would love to do if we had a nice garden.

I work full time as a support worker, my partner (who is 63) works full time in a hospital on a low wage. My son works 12 hour night shifts in a bakery. We do not have much time and energy to do what needs to be done, to make this garden a pleasant oasis, which it needs to be for us to appreciate it's beautiful potential.
We have a lovely apple tree at the top of some steps. The garden needs beautiful plants, a rockery and wooden seating, underneath the apple tree. I would love some topiaries. Having memories of a holiday in Italy with my partner, we stayed in a villa with topiaries and pretty coloured gravel. The steps ( like mine) had rose of sharon trailing down then. My partner, who is very creative would be able to help cultivate the topiaries once set up.
I enclose a photo of my dream garden. Please make it happen
