Julie Phipps
Hello, I’m Julie, I have Sjogren’s syndrome and I’m a single mum working in the NHS.
My disease leaves me with joint pain and a horrible fatigue and being outside pottering around the garden would be good for me and my Sjogren’s.
The disease has taken away my ability to kneel as I have had a spinal fusion and a total knee replacement and am needing to have my other knee operated on. I am in pain every day of my life.
My request is a simple one – I would like my garden to have raised waist height beds so that I can plant and reach my herbs and have a vegetable patch and enjoy my garden again.
I used to love my herb garden and I really miss it and rarely go in the garden these days as I can’t bend to look after it.
I want to grow my own produce and juice the vegetables to improve my health. I would be grateful for this opportunity to have my garden back – thank you.
