My father's kitchen. It's been like this for over twenty five years, as he was caring for my mum and trying to DIY (not very well!). He also had a fire about 20 years ago which he managed to deal with, but he lost the built in oven and grill. There are hardly any cupboards or workspace, doors are broken and hand painted (he should have gone to Specsavers sooner!!), there are no drawers, a broken hob covered with an old board, it's very cold, and topped off with 80's peeling wall boarding, a very leaky roof, damp problems and rotten bare flooring. A new kitchen would make a big difference to him, as his whole house needs a lot of repairs and it took all of his savings to replace the windows where most wouldn't even shut! So he has been saving again for his bathroom and kitchen. I want him to get at least one of them finished, so he can enjoy it, and invite friends.
