I would like to have a more modern, better functioning kitchen. The sink leaks, the storage is inadequate, it looks dated and is badly designed. I moved to this house in 2004 with the view that it was a work in progress. Within 9 months of moving, my marriage broke up and I have struggled to maintain things with the house as it is because I cannot afford to update it myself. I am a childminder and degree student on a very low income and have embarked on study with the hope of eventually earning a decent wage, I had to turn my life around completely in order to survive not only a marriage breakdown, but also be a positive role model to two daughters. If I had a kitchen upgrade it would give me a head start in trying to make our environment a lot more pleasant, it's been a tough near on ten years.
