I would like to nominate myself and husband for a bathroom makeover.
Due to a chronic pain condition we decided we needed to get rid of our bath and make the bathroom more accessible to my health problems. The toilet flush is actually working with cable ties, so fingers crossed they don't snap as you cannot find replacements!
We chose a new layout, including wet room floor, had surveys, chose everything we needed and the refurb was due to start next week. We paid £2000 deposit, the remainder was due yesterday. Last Wednesday we were told the company had ceased trading, and our deposit of £2k had gone with them! We paid with debit card, so no protection. We so need the bathroom re organising, it's just not fit for what we need for safety now, it looked lovely 20 years ago when corner baths and curved edges were all the rage, but time has moved on! It's a tiny room, but so important to be practical. The disappointment we feel at the moment, and feeling of betrayal is unbelievable, a makeover for us would restore our faith in human nature, and make life easier.
