Clare Hadlow

I have lived in my old Terraced house for almost 19 years, I have a downstairs bathroom it is fully tiled has a bath, basin and toilet, the tiles are dated and were badly fitted, the skirting board is rotten as is the wooden side panel for the bath, the hot tap on the basin hasnt worked properly for most of the time ive lived here and finally gave up 3 years ago so we have to fill the basin with hot water from the tap connected shower head which often means water splashed on the floor. The sealent around the bath is black in places and coming away, i tried to re do it 2 years ago but made a right mess of it,there are gaps where the water can get down the sides and go under the bath. I regularly have to bleach the ceiling and bath sealent as it gets black on it, the bathroom needs an extractor fan,the radiator is rusted it is too close to the toilet so in the winter when its hot we sit wonky on the loo which makes the seat come loose and eventually the strain breaks the seat fitting I buy a new toilet seat twice a year on average because of this. The skirting and bath panel are soggy and rotten i get bugs crawling out of it which is really horrd,It really is a shabby mess and Im ashamed to let people see it. I would love to have a new bathroom but cant afford it at the moment, im a single grandmother bringing up 2 of my grandchildren and though I work we dont have much "spare" cash I have recently painted and put new floor coverings in some rooms as they hadnt been done for over 13 years, i am in the middle of re fitting my en suite shower room as it had been out of order for a year, it has taken several years of saving to get these jobs done. Oh how I would love and really appreciate a bathroom makeover, it would be just FAB
