Our bungalow was built in the 1950s and has the original bathroom. It's colour is black tiles and yellow bath etc. The sink is cracked and the bath has been leaking for about a year and has limescale running down the inside of the bath.As it has original taps any plumber has sucked their teeth and scratched their head saying the whole thing needs to come out..the bungalow was rented sincethe old lady who owned it died. We were tenants for 10 years and goodness knows how many went before us. 5 years ago we were offered the place to buy. Which we did but as the mortgage is 4 times higher than our rent was we haven't been able to afford to replace it..we've painted and tried to make it look prettier..but you can't dress mutton as lamb. I dread bathtime. There is nothing cosy or inviting but we just still don't have the cash. We run our own business in a very old building and most spare cash goes back into that. Our kitchen is equally as bad but if there were a nice bathroom to relax in that would seem a whole lot better. Please help!!
