Still time left to nominate the Best Builders' Breakfast in Britain

Breakfast competition logo

We have had a great response to our quest to find the Best Builders' Breakfast in Britain, with nominations coming in by email, on our blog and even in person when we attended the Grand Designs Live show in Birmingham this past weekend. We have had breakfasts nominated from Belfast to Barking, Swansea to St. Leonards and Newcastle to Northampton.

There is still one month to get your nominations in and win the very desirable prize of one year of free membership on MyBuilder as well as breakfast for four at the winning café or restaurant. You don't have to stick to traditional cafés in your nominations either, as we have had food vans, pubs and even builders' merchants nominated as the finest place to grab a builders' brekkie. All the nominated food venues get a window sticker to show off and those nominating them get that chance to win that one free year of membership and the free breakfast. So don't miss out. Nominate your favourite in the comments below or drop us an email at

  1. Chamomile Cafe, 45 Englands Lane - Belsize Park - London

Fantastic Breakfast, all organic and locally sourced, all the bread for the toast is homemade too!

  2. The tea rooms, Waddon Way, CR0 4HY in the Wyevale Garden Centre - huge breakfast at very low prices - don't know how they make any money!!

  3. Gatehouse Diner Aylesbury. Got to be.

Great Staff, great food (a brekkie french stick keeps me going all day,if not 2!!). Bubble & squeak with my bacon and eggs of full english hits the spot one day or a bacon door step (bacon cooked as you like it) another. Perfect for a busy day as i can have my brekkie in the morning and get a sandwich to go (made to order) for my lunch. Great coffee and tea. All food is made fresh to order by a lovely bunch of girls. Outstanding service and food.

  4. Best Cafe Full stop.

  5. gainsborough trading estate , rufford road , stourbridge west midlands
tripple decker B.E.S.T (BACON EGG SAUSAGE TOMATO) on crusty YUM world class !!

  6. Faces Cafe in Ferryhill County Durham is without a shadow of a doubt THE best breakfast in Britain. The staff are a great laugh and go out of their way to be helpful. Bernard O`Mahoney (the Author) runs the cafe and spends as much time sitting down chatting to the lads as he does working. A genuinely great atmosphere, great food and at very cheap prices.

  7. Home made bread, a plate brimming with well cooked wholesome food and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in any shop, store or food outlet, Faces Cafe Conyers Terrace Ferryhill Durham is the cafe I nominate

  8. olives balne lane Wakefield . nice clean breakfast good friendly staff

  9. The Corner cupboard Buxton Marketplace, good butty good breakfast.

  10. Faces Cafe Ferryhill Durham: Miracle Cures for Hunger!!!

  11. Ferryhill Face's Cafe. Have a big breakfast if you go there. All meat is from the local butchers and cooked perfectly. They also make there own cakes that are to die for. The cafe is owned by best selling true crime author Bernard O'mahoney so there has been a few tv stars visiting the cafe since it has been there which is also good for the town reputation.
