live in a bottom floor flat that has got very bad black mold and dampness,

it is in bigger of the 2 bedrooms though not that big a room - and is in the corner along the walls - one wall goes under the window and the other wall is on the outside stairwell wall, this has been a problem for a while now and need to get it fixed as woud like to sell the property, we have just had new windows put in last year and the windows are either opened most of the time or if not opened then the air vent is on - not sure how to fixed this problem at all - we have a large bed in the room with 2 chest of drawers and a wardrop - we had to get rid of a chet of drawers as the mold had crept into one - the room is a very small room though and prob have too much furniture in it but have no other option - all the other rooms within the flat are fine - and we have asked all the neighbours above us and at the other side and no one else at all has this problem anyone any ideas please. think this is now starting to affect our health as we both wake every morning with a headache and other health issues that i have read can be affected by mold thanks

A

if you have black mould on your walls it is most commonly caused by moisture in the room which, can't escape and is then is attracted to cold spots on your wall which turns to the black mould.this area can be treated by an anti mould application and then followed up by either an additive or an anti mould paint .this should prevent the problem your now having.N. B. the room really needs to have the ventilation improved as this is the cause of the problem, otherwise the problem will simply re occur in different parts of the room once treated. hope this helps
