wasn't very good, when called back wouldn't pick up phone, would never use again.

This guy should come with a health warning. Do not use if you want a smooth, easy, business like company to deal with. Has not completed the plans and calculations to Building Controls requirements. Never replies to emails, mobile phone messages left, messages left on the business line. After 3 months of trying to speak to him l have had to employ someone else to finish the job. Charged me more than he quoted and still can't be bothered to complete the job to a required standard. Planning on making a claim through the small claims court as l am now having to pay someone else to complete the calculations.

great job!!! would strongly use Roy again and again and again, if he's not too busy!

DO NOT HIRE ROY! We’ve made a big mistake by hiring him to draw plans for an extension for our newly purchased home. His original plans were given to us 2 weeks later than he promised. After submission to the council & once building work had started our builder alerted to us a manhole he discovered in the path of the proposed extension which Roy had FAILED to see. If he had surveyed the area properly including inspecting the floor of the shed that the manhole was under he would have clearly seen it. We called him back & he offered a solution & promised the revised plans by the end of the week. It has now been 10 weeks! Additionally, after contacting the council we found out the plans he submitted for the Lawful Development certificate were non-compliant. He ignored the letter from the council & if we hadn’t looked into it ourselves we would not even have known about this until our application was rejected. We constantly chased Roy for the revisions via phone calls, emails, texts & even visited his office but to no avail. We’ve hired another architect & our extension which was originally planned to be completed by the end of Nov 2013 will now not even get started until March 2014! Roy owes us a full refund for the original plans we paid him for which were non-compliant, however, he is refusing to respond to our letters. Unfortunately despite our repeated attempts in getting a response from Roy we have no choice but to carry out legal proceedings to recover our losses.

Roy completed the requested structural drawings without any problems. Not always easy to contact.

Roy is reliable, quick, energetic and passionate about what he is doing. He has done very good drawings in a record time and helped to manage my builders. He is extremely knowledgeable and his great asset when negotiation with Building Regulations and builders. I recommend him without hesitation and would use him again in the future
