I have used Ramsbottom stoves twice, as we moved house less than a year after we had the stove fitted. I have found them to be sensible, polite and very keen on safety. I have had good advice about choosing a stove, the work has been done on time and very, very neatly. Each time Mr Brownlow has made a point of explaining the best way to use the stove and has emphasized how to use it safely. The first time we had had difficulty getting any builder to look at our chimney because of the age of the building and because we are in a conservation area, but Mr Brownlow was clearly confident and experienced, unlike an "ordinary" builder who didn't seem to know what to do with our narrow, twisting chimney. We had been told that it would be "impossible" to fit a modern liner, but they managed it no problem. I would recommend Ramsbottom stoves wholeheartedly, and we really enjoy having a wood burning stove. They also sell and deliver dry, good quality firewood. Mark also responds quickly to emails or texts, so you don't feel that you ever have to chase him to contact him.

We came up against this old gas fire and surround on a recent job in Bolton.
We finished off the installation in Ramsbottom by laying a black indian stone hearth, lined the chimney and installed a Broseley Serrano 7 stove.

We can carry out everything from creating and enlarging an opening, supplying and laying a hearth be it new sawn stone, granite, york stone flags, indian stone flags or even glass for the more contemporary properties. We are also able to supply most stoves available from the leading stove manufacturers in the industry. Sweeping your chimney, fitting a suitable bird guard or anti downdraught cowl, fitting a new chimney pot or supplying spares are all available under one roof making us a 'one stop shop'.
