Tomasz came and viewed the job and gave an estimated number of days. He expressed a preferrence for a daily rate rather than a job price and we agreed, but said we would have to monitor how long it took. Tomasz sent 2 workmen, with our agreement, as he was unable to undertake the work personally. however, he checked regularly that all was going well. We found him helpful and professional to deal with. He was always there at times agreed. In the event, the work that was agreed took a little less than estimated, but the painters undertook other work that we asked them to do. Overall, I would say that they were careful and took care to produce a good finish. When they felt more work needed to be carried out to create a good finish, eg another coat of paint, they explained the options available so that I could make a decision on how this would affect the cost of the job. This is one of the issues about painting, getting a high-quality finish often involves extra time. I could have asked the painters to go for more preparation in a few cases, but having a view on the overall cost, decided not to. Also, noticed a few paint splashes on the floor after they left - but nothing too serious. I am pleased with the standard of the job and would be happy to ask Tomasz and his painters back to do more work in the future.
