We are currently looking at new flooring for a complete bungalow renovation -We particulary like the Karndean Da Vinci Oak effect ones however one supplier (who didn't stock Karndean) recomended Vusta. We have not heard of this or seen it laid anywhere but the samples look very good quality and similar to Karndean - wondering if anyone has any experience of this product?

Thank you for the advice - pleased to hear positive feedback about the vusta - it looks like we can save some money to spend elsewhere!

We are currently obtaining quotes for new sliding patio doors - the measurement is 2700mm by 2100mm. We have had a very reasonable price from a window fitter who has done work for us previously to a very high standard. Since he realizes that we are working to a tight budget on this he has quoted for 4mm toughened safety glass. He says that the area of each window will be 2.1sq m which is just within the recommended 2.25sq m for 4mm glass. My gut feeling is that as a reputable fitter (FENSA registered) he would suggest getting 6mm if at all necessary. We have another fitter coming tomorrow so hoping we can get some confirmation from them too. Meanwhile would welcome further professional opinions on this. Should we pay the extra for 6mm doors?
