We thought Richard would be great to start with. We trusted him straight away.We paid a significant amount of money for 2 days work in advance-foolishly. The 1st day we were in the house with him. He went off to look for materials for some time and moved a door to open the other way. This work was ok BUT a very expensive simple job. On the 2nd day we were not in our son was. We agreed with Richard what should be done. He didnt do any of what we asked. He said he had fixed the wardrobe doors, but we couldnt what he had done. He did though shave a considerable amount off our lovely front door that has been in situ for 130 years. We did not ask for this ,the door was a perfect fit. We are left with a front door and a howling draft! We PAID a good rate for a full day for this and my son said he left very early. We emailed Richard many times to ask him to come and finish off.. He didn't aplogise for the front door nor did he contact us even after chasing him some time later. We feel that we were robbed. We paid him very well (he quoted us for a days work and then asked for more which we madly paid him) for 2 days work which amounted to changing a door and ruining our front door. A disaster all round. We feel very let down , especially when we were so trusting. CANNOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. We would not be writing this if he had apologised or returned to fulfil the work that we paid him in advance for. BE CAREFUL

Work History
I am at present refurbishing a 1930's bungalow. The interior was original 1970's decor complete with Purbeck stone wall and fire place. Im sure it was nice at the time.
The interior has now been transformed into a very modern living space.
I used a combination of Farrow and Ball paints and selected wall papers to create a worderful flow throughout the house. Each room creating an individual statement whilst complementing one another.
Working closely with the clients was key to creating this wonderful home.
Various building skills have been applied in this project including carpentry, basic electrical work. stone masonry, plumbing, decorating, partitioning, plastering, design and consultation.
Prior to that I was working on a loft conversion in the London area.
The property was a 1920's Art Deco style building. The interior had a lot of period detail. whilst the loft space is modern the flow between the two works well.
Work included partitioning, jointing, wall & floor tiling, hanging doors and furniture, fixing stair bannisters.
I have aslo been involved in the refurbishment of listed properties on the Edmondsham Estate and Croucheston Farm for Lady Cobham.
Whilst most of my work is on period, listed and historic properties I have enjoyed employing my skills towards home maintenance for private clients in the Ringwood and surrounding areas. Work included carpentry, painting and decorating, door hanging, cabinet making, stone work, kitchen fitting and granite worktops.
If you require any further infomation I am happy to forward my CV.
