Our job was a renovation of a two bed flat, consisting of removal of an internal load-bearing wall and installation of new windows in an existing wall. I met with about 15 builders before choosing Jonathan. Out of all the builders he demonstrated solid knowledge of the trade and the applicable building regulations. His quote came in at about average.
During the renovation we were not living locally so Jonathan was responsible for the entire job, including all liaison with third parties (building regulations, block manager, subcontractors, furniture delivery, etc). He handled this responsibility very well and the job was executed with minimum need for supervision from our behalf. He was always easy to contact via telephone or email and demonstrated good judgement in knowing which decisions he should confirm with us before proceeding.
Before the job began Jonathan was provided with a detailed Scope of Work and stuck to this very well; there were no nasty surprises when we saw the end result!
The finish was very high quality and pricing very transparent. Knowing that the intention was to let the flat out, Jonathan gave good advice on materials, appliances and general design in order to make the flat sufficiently robust.
Overall we are very satisfied. This job could easily have turned into a headache with a cheaper builder but instead it was the opposite. I would gladly recommend Jonathan and his team to anyone, and would definitely use his services again.
