Renovation of a buy-to-let flat
Tom seemed like a nice guy, gave a competitive quote and said he could start work the next week. Having agreed the start date, he later announced that he was taking on additional work for an existing client, pushing my job back by a week. Very annoying, but as it would be difficult to arrange another tradesman to start quickly, I said OK. There was one day of work (ripping out the old kitchen/laminate flooring) after which he again announced that work had to be put back and that I would have to source all the materials myself as he refused to spend time driving to suppliers. He did this by text, and refused to answer the phone to me all day. Needless to say, iBuilder is no longer working on the job... and despite picking up his tools, my keys haven’t been returned. Very unsatisfactory... and wasted weeks of my time!
Answer from tradesperson:
J. Levick is totally unfaur in his feedback. The only reason we refused to do the job is because he refused to buy himself or to give us money for materials. The materials cost was around 3000 pounds and there was no way we paying for this without him leaving even some type of drposit before going away. Thats the thruth.
