Hugh made a very thorough inspection of our roofing problem, ie water coming in - went up to our roof, in our loft and in our bedroom. He also gave excellent advice at our first meeting and seemed to be very knowledgeable. His quote was very reasonable and the job was completed when we suggested, but delayed a couple of days due to rain (contact from Hugh to delay was very prompt). The work was completed over 3 days and Hugh and his colleague were very professional at all times. I would not hesitate to use this tradesman again and would highly recommend him to family and friends.

This job complete for all 3 roofs came in just over £5k. Hugh did a magnificent job, arrived on time, got on with the jobs, was in and out in a week. He was clean and accommodating. The works entailed the re-roofing of a 3-storey, double-fronted detached property in East Teignmouth, plus the restoration of a small terrace on the top floor and refurbishment of a covered walkway at first floor level to the rear and one side of the building. From the beginning I knew that Hugh was going to do a good job. His quotation was correctly detailed, right down to areas that might involve extra work once revealed; and it was clear that he had good connections with specialised tradesmen such as lead-workers and blacksmiths,as well as scaffolders, flat-roofers and double-glazing fabricators. Work started promptly and continued steadily through the various stages of demolition and reconstruction. I should add that I am a retired builder myself and I was pleased to see that no corners were cut at any stage. Hugh kept us informed of his progress at all times. Work progressed throughout the summer and was completed with virtually no time lost and no variation to the quoted price other than those extras which we arranged during the course of the contract. The finished effect is extremely gratifying and we wouldn't hesitate to use him again. His strengths are his organisational abilities, his pleasant manner and his comprehensive knowledge of the craft. I have no difficulty in recommending his firm to anyone desiring a first-class service!

Hugh Pursey has provided building services to me ranging from bathroom conversions and refitting, through to performing a large loft extension and re-roofing my commercial 5000sq foot building. All the work has been done on time and to budget unless I have altered the specifications, and with a high level of workmanship and aftercare should there be any hick-ups. Hugh Pursey is good at project managing larger building works providing and regulating the subcontractors to get the work finished to a hight quality and on time.
