I got Shane to fit 6 doors and he said he could do it in a day, and that's what he did. Another quote I got needed 2 days and wanted to charge significantly more.
I didn't go for Shane just because he was cheaper: I had to weigh up when he initially came whether he could do the job, and I didn't make a mistake in this. He is clearly experienced and efficient, taking a lot of care in fitting doors into frames that weren't perfectly square. He knew I was concerned about making a mess over newly laid carpets and he took care in trying to minimise the mess being trailed in and out of my yard where he did most of the door shaping; and I'm grateful that, without being prompted, he discarded his shoes on the multiple times he went from the interior to the exterior, trying to cut down on the mess. Ply him with cup after cup of (preferably Earl Grey) tea and the odd bag of nuts and he'll keep going till he or the job is finished. - jimalton - 20th Oct, 2012

Purpose made book case , i made this from mdf with a softwood finish on the edges .It kept the price within the customers budget .
kitchen makeover , i forgot to take before photo but believe me when i say that i looked 150 % better then it did .
Example of quality of finished thats achieved when worktops cut with router .the join is hardly noticeable .
oak spindles handrail and newel post , Not enough room to take handrail to top newel so i angled the rail back to get over this common problem .
This a howdens kitchen i fitted in june 2012, i love the traditional look this kitchen gives .
A composite stable door ,side window and pvc cladding fitted for a customer in hunwick . All so repointed small roof above .
In this room i fitted new doors frames skirting board ,back moulds and flooring . The customer was very pleased with finished and price .

Work History
997 to 2003 served my time at waltons windows a local joinery business . my role was to learn from head joiner who had over 50 years experience , i earned level 2 nvq carpentry and joinery at bishop Auckland collage this was a 3 year course at the time. Then went on to work for a few local house builders from 2003 to 2006 .
From 2006 up till present i have worked for myself , most of my work as been for private customers but have all so done much work for local nursing homes and schools . I all so had a spell kitchen fitting for a few years. ( this was working for myself ) .

My main skills are installing windows and doors internal and external , internal joinery everything from fitting a kitchen to fitting a staircase , i am a locksmith and can gain entry to your property if you lose your keys or need locks changing.
Skills that are not joinery related are ./ I am a good communicator .( this i feel is essential when working with my customers , there feelings and ideas will all ways be taking on board , and any issues resolved without fuss ).
