Greg gave me the most cost-effective quote after receiving approx 3 others and had ideas for decorating my room that I hadn't thought of. He repaired the ceiling and installed new coving, moved plug sockets and fitted new lights as well as a new central light fitting. I was very happy with the standard of work at this point. However when it came to wallpapering, things went downhill. I purchased patterned damask wallpaper from B&Q (Graham & Brown) which I accept is not the easiest pattern to hang. My wife and I noticed that the wallpaper pattern had not been matched properly, despite the pattern repetition being stated on the wallpaper packaging. We then noticed that the wallpaper had not been hung in straight lines, which was a surprising mistake for a decorator. I had to go and buy 3 more rolls of wallpaper so that this could be corrected. Greg admitted fault for the wallpaper but the end result has meant that in certain parts of the bedroom the wallpaper doesn't match even after the major areas were corrected. There is also a stain where too much paste has been used on one part of the wall. Greg said that any further work on the wallpaper would incur an additional charge despite this not being any fault of our own. Greg himself seems to know what he is doing but he is let down by people he uses to fulfil certain aspects of a job. The level of attention to detail did not live up to expectations (there was none) and I would hesitate to give a recommendation in the future.

Greg was a thorough Professional exhibiting Brilliant cross functional skills in Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrician! I had some additional tasks from the original quote. He was polite, intelligent and reasonably priced in all the jobs assigned. I will definitely re-hire and highly recommend him for builder jobs.
