  Did a fantastic job very speedy explained what can be done and what cant. Worked flat out and also cleaned after they finished. Gigi comes across a loud person but he is very nice guy. Also a ceiling in the room still had paper on it but Gigi took that off for us and continued. Will recommend to other and will use again if need be. Also very reasonable in price compared to all other quotes I had. Gigi enjoy your holiday.

  I can't fault the quality of the work or the price however after arranging to come first thing on Monday he then phoned late on Sunday afternoon and said he wouldn't be coming till 5pm and didn't actually turn up till nearly 6pm. In the end three guys turned up and the job done was good and they mostly tidied up OK. I would probably use again but would be very clear that I wanted timeframes honoured

The finish is smooth and now that it has dried and we have painted we appreciate the skill of plastering. We will be using Gigi in the future, should he be happy to work with us again :)

  I hired Gigi based on the feedback and very reasonable price he quoted to plasterboard and skim our bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and velux's.
  Gigi turned up on time and quickly began, working contantly without breaks.
  The job took longer than expected and meant he had to come back for a second day.
  I have left neutral feedback for a couple of reasons.
  I found Gigi very difficult to cominicate with. I was quite particular on how i wanted certain aspects of the job done in particular the way the plasterboard was angled around a velux window, and when i tried to explain, he would interupt and take it as if i was telling him how to do his job. This proved evident that he hadn't listened when i found that he had started fixing the board the quickest and easiest way as aposed to what i had specified. It was corrected but i found my patience wearing thin with his lack of listening skills.
  I also was annoyed when i came in to see the progress to find Gigi and his friend smoking in my house whilst working. I did not challenge it but felt that he should have gone outside or asked.
  That said, we did get there in the end and I cannot fault the final finish. Gigi worked quickly and tirelessly and the price was far cheaper than everywhere else.
  I would recomend Gigi as the end product is fantastic, but be mindful there may a few comunication issues along the way.

  If you are looking for the cheapest plasterer in London, this guy is the one you want.
  On the other hand, this is the experience that I had with him:
  supplied a suspiciously low quote and only hired when another builder couldn't make it to do the work within the date previously agreed upon. Being in the trade for almost 15 years and with very good understanding of rates, I should have gone with common sense instead of hope and never replied to his quote.
  On the day, he was 3 hours late. Not a big deal. Making sure that I don't have to argue about the quality or quantity of work required, I sent him a number of messages detailing the amount of work, outlay of the property and order in which I want the work done. When he started with his story of "not realising how big the job is...." I knew what I was up against. Once it was clear that I'm not the push-over that can be bullied in to his therms and prices he and his mate got on with the work. As they were starting, once again I told him what should and more importantly what shouldn't be done. Waste of time.
  If I was some house-wife, retired or just clueless about plastering, it would not excuse but would explain the fact that he tried to bodge every aspect of the work. As obvious as it can be that he's dealing with a contractor on a rather big project, he still tried every trick in order to make his money quick.
  When it became clear that he isn't going to get paid upon completion of each wall, but only at the end of the job and after I check his work he started panicking, arguing and I had no option but to get him to leave the premises paying him for all the work he did that day.
  Few days later, those few ceilings that he managed to finish got dry and my suspicions proved to be right.
  I asked him to come back and take a look at what he had left me with and perhaps try and correct it. He came, looked and came up with this brilliant treat that the "Plastering Union" representatives will be on site within 48 hours to prove me wrong.
  Needless to say that I never heard from him or saw him again.
  I had the whole thing done again as I didn't want to put my reputation on line and as it was obvious that the work was done to a poor standard and without all necessary steps taken to ensure that plaster is still on the walls and not full of cracks in few months time.

  Starting with the positive - Gigi's work is really very good. He is an extremely talented plasterer, who leaves a fantastic finish on the walls, very smooth - glass like, even. He also works very fast. I had no idea good plastering could be done at his speed. Gigi is also very well priced, and a very friendly man. He turns up when he says he will, and was ok with us to split the work into two days two weeks apart when I was let down by another builder, which had an impact on timings.
  
  However, I've given Gigi a neutral as I would not hire him again personally. He is hard to communicate with, which led to a few misunderstandings on my part about what was going to be done. He also wouldn't quote me for some extra work I asked him to do, just going ahead and doing it whilst laughing that I pay what I feel it was worth. I found that very uncomfortable, and then when I said so, he spent the rest of the day being moody. He didn't charge any extra for the extra work in the end, which although is very commendable, isn't the outcome I would have preferred. I would rather have a good working relationship and feel comfortable with the person in my house.
  
  Gigi has also hounded me for feedback, which I've noticed is not uncommon for this website, but I find very unappealing. I am a busy professional, so having my phone ring every day chasing for feedback can feel rather aggressive. For those reasons, I wouldn't rehire Gigi - which is a shame as his workmanship is very good, very affordable, and very fast.

Only slight downside was that because of the speed there is some inevitable plaster on the doors/furniture but nothing that can't be wiped off in minutes.

  Gigi and his team started and completed the job as agreed and did well skimming large areas of wall. Also not too much mess was left. However the overall finish lacked attention to detail which I discussed with Gigi who was quite dismissive (and a bit rude). The quality of his job is seen in the effort it took to get a good finish in the hallway. It took the decorators an extra 2 days. A lot of time was spent filling and sanding unfinished areas around the edges, the woodwork and fittings. Most importantly there appears to be creamy stains through the final coat of paint which I have been told indicates that perhaps not all the wallpaper was removed. I was very surprised by my experience having hired Gigi based on his positive feedback. I was very pleased with the decorator he put me in touch with who did a stellar job putting things right. I am therefore leaving neutral feedback.

  He could have perhaps been a little less messy, as the windows, doors and floor boards have been absolutely covered in plaster, but the quality of the finish more than makes up for that.
  
  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gigi, but perhaps insist on him using some of those plastic sheets a previous customer mentioned!

I think he underestimated the amount of work that he would have to do though as the wallpaper turned out to be very difficult to remove. This meant that he had to work an extra day, despite this he did not raise the qouted price. We were very happy with the finish.

  I have left neutral feedback as I was not there the whole time the job was being done. Gigi came to carry out the job on the day as arranged and turned up promptly at 9.00. As suspected from the price quoted, Gigi had misunderstood my job as being just the downstairs hallway, but my job was to include the stairs and landing. However, he requoted £400.00 which is still very competitive and I gave the go ahead. I understand that he did not stop the whole day to eat and only drank water.. The job was finished by around 7.00ish. The only critisisum I have is that he left the hall in quite a mess, in that every door and windowsill was covered in plaster splashes, which would normally not be a problem, but they were newly fitted doors and had not been varnished so we spent three days cleaning the splash stains off the wood. We also had a large patch that was missed. However, overall, we were pleased with the results.

  This was a very good price for what was quite a big job. Gigi and his colleague worked very hard, and the work was a very good standard. Gigi was friendly and easy to deal with. I think the job was larger than Gigi had thought, and he had to come back to finish it but he did not even try to charge me more. The materials cost more than estimated but he showed me receipts and didn't insist that I paid him more than the estimate although it was only fair to pay the full price. He didn't ask for payment until the job was complete. I would definitely hire him again.
