Jason Eldred, who was then trading as ECL was hired to complete and submit the plans for a kitchen extension. I was initially satisfied with Jason when he visited the house to measure up and take instructions etc... However I began go have my doubts about him when he proved very difficult to contact by either phone or e-mail and then ceased trading as ECL and began trading as M2DP, M2Construct and M2 Design. I repeatedly had to ask Jason to amend his drawings as the fundamental measurements and positioning of the extension was incorrect. Jason disagreed with our requested measurements because he maintained that we would not get planning permission for an extension of 5m. We asked Jason to submit the plans and we received planning permission. However we also paid for full size hard copies of plans which Jason has not supplied despite numerous phone calls and e-mails - all of which he failed to respond to. We had originally intended to use Jason Eldred's ECL company for the physical build of the extension but as he has proved to be completely unreliable he can consider himself saved. A few open source checks on his Director and Companies House profiles suggest financial difficulties. If you are considering using Jason Eldred, in whatever guise he is trading in at the time, I would proceed with extreme caution.

ECL won the tender to build the extension by evidencing a thorough understanding of what was a very technical build, sound contactual terms, and competitive price. Jason and Bob were always polite and punctual, and very precise with all aspects of the build process. As the build progressed, inevitable requests for changes were always agreed or alternatives proposed that meet best practice. My wife and I are really happy that we chose ECL and estatic with the wonderful addition to our house. The most qualified compliment came from the building inspector - "I can't remember seeing a build of this high standard and quality before!"   

Good job overall. Disappointing end. Once final payment was made then Jason didn't return to clear site. He was also supposed to arrange for render but did not. It's a shame he didn't finish the job well. This had ended costing me more money.

in respect of my loft conversion it was completed to the highest quality and i am extremely happy. i dealt with jason from quotation to completion and it was completed to the quotation with no hidden costs.

We cannot recommend Jason enough. He was very knowledgeable and explained every step in perfect detail. Everything was kept very tidy - we didn't even know he was there at the end of the day. We'll be having him back to do more work for us very soon!

He is a very good worker he always turned up on time and worked hardand finished the job in the allotted time, he also did some additional work when it came up. He does general building and also finer finishing and I would definitely recommend him.

Overall they did a very good job for me. We've had a conservatory built at the back of the house which is continuing off the garage and Jason came around and measured it all up then he designed it, had it made and built it all. Half of the back garage was converted into a utility room and they did all the plumbing and drainage etc there too. I think they deserve a very good recommendation for what they did - the job was done on time, there were no extra costs at the end, everything was done to plan and it was very good job done. If I want to have any major works done in the future I'd definitely contact them again.

Jason was great, I had a change of plans and he finally adapted and fitted an original victorian door in a new frame and new locks. It was not easy but the resul was perfect. I really recommend him and will definetely hire him again for the rest of my doors.

Did an excellent job at very short notice. Turned up on time and a very good price. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
