  Civil ES were initially hired to carry out an electrical inspection for rental purposes.
  Micheal and his team carried out the required works accordingly and found that remedial work was required to bring the electrical wiring to a current standard. An upgrade was recommended-this included new consumer unit and related bonding works.... Micheal was always available on the phone and updated me with photos and liased direct with the tenant-The work was completed without any fuss and Micheal was very professional and is a very competent electrician who is thorough in his job and I am 100% satisfied and have no hestitation to use him and his team for future works.

On this occasion the supervision was below par and the worker responsible for the mess had since been dismissed.   Like everyone else who hired Michael, I can't recommend him highly enough. In short, he was great, brilliant even. He was punctual, polite, hard working, and good to have around. He saved us from a rip off merchant who had walked off the job who quote was originally lower but no doubt would have come back with extra costs - all that, 'I didn't know the wiring was so bad. That'll be another grand please.' Michael was very up front and clear about what needed doing. It's an old house so it wasn't surprising the wiring needed replacing. Our survey said as much. So he saved us a lot of grief and money in the end. He's also very creative and suggested, for very little, we put stylish lights up the staircase. It looks marvellous. We have loads more work to do and will be seeing Michael and his team again. If want your electrics done well and on time, call Michael. If you want to cut corners and take the risk, get someone else. I've got a whole list of cowboys to send your way...

  A speedy responose with a reasonable price for the job. The extra cost from the original quote was because the replacement dual plug socket had to be silvery chrome finish (not plastic) to match the rest of the sockets in the kitchen.

  Although this was a small job I would be happy to call Michael again as he seems very efficient and on the balll. I'm sure he deserves the excellent reviews he has received on this site.

The electric shower that he fitted is working well, however, I was unhappy with the untidy way he fitted the towel heater as he has left the surplus flex wrapped around it rather than cutting it to size. I did ask him to estimate for some more electrical work, but he failed to respond to this request. All in all, I feel I can only give him neutral feedback.

• Landlord's main electricity supply has failed. (Electrical)

  Michael turned up early on a very cold, snowy morning. Almost immediately, he and his assistant managed to temporarily wire our ancient fusebox, restoring our hall and landing lights and intercom. Within 1 1/2 hours they were back with the new fusebox, which they'd had to purchase from Balham.

  The new fusebox is much more user friendly and much safer than the old metal one. It also has clearly labled fuses for each particular service.

  I used Michael before and found him to be courteous, helpful and efficient.
